stone design
Stones designed by people and by the sea. This is a 2 minute walk from where i work.
It's a nice break to go and pick up stones :)
Home
I love going home. To my parents house.
The house is a very peaceful house that makes you come down to your senses.
I love being around my mom and dad. They do the same back.
I always get the urge to drive to their place each day. But i don't want to brake the spell. I love to be at my apartment as well. I wake up at 7am, all slept in and fresh. The house is full of light and always cool and windy. I never miss the TV. I read, paint, write, chill, clean and cook. If i get bored and have no car i walk to the roman catholic monastery which is on a mountain. I hate the building itself because i have a distaste of roman-catholic buildings (they creep me out for some reason). But the building is on a very nice hill and i have a lovely view of the town and the sea and it's quiet and peacefull and i listen to my little radio.
This crazy place
the thing with Curacao is that you can see something weird or interesting everyday.
For example: you can see 2 dead dogs hit by cars on each side of the road, which is very shocking and unpleasant, and on another road see a peacock cross the street.
Not to mention the yuanna's and the little baby goats hopping by.
Without a car u are hopeless here and only in 2 weeks i have driven in 4 different cars. No that it's not nice. The jeep that i have been given for 3 months got overheated (i poured water in a broken water tank it seemed) and is at the garage. The second car (a rental) was fine, but we couldn't rent it for long. The third rental was very bad. The woman that rented it out called it a 'student car'. Because it's crap, she meant. (Matise Daewoo) The thing is that in Holland student cars don't exist, so that was a strange term for me to start with. The second i left with that car the engine fell out and i managed to pull over. I did get help very fast and the car was fixed in 20 minutes. But my trust was gone. The second day, Queensday, i took that same car to the beach with my dad. While driving i smell the penetrating scent of gasoline. Someone drove next to me and pointed out that the car was leaking gas all over the place. From underneath, they stressed.
I was pulling over anyways, because the car was not driving anymore.
This time it was a pain for the rent lady to come, because she was enjoying her one free day on the beach. She came right away anyway with her husband and this time gave me a good car.
She felt very bad for the whole thing.
So yesterday i had a nice station wagon Kia to use and i lost the car key! It fell out of my pocket while going to shoot with the kids of the video-workshop. I did find it though, God loves me. I sometimes have incredible bad luck and at the same time incredible good luck. But personally i feel 2008 will be just incredible good luck :)
Or in better expressed words: incredibly blessed 2008.
